mucus in my throat

i had flu 3 weeks ago and because am pregnant i took amoxil but its didnt do a thing, now the mucus still yellow and it increases every night when i sleep and wake up till i couldnt breath either from nose or mouth, i tried normal saline no use.. so any help plzzzzzzzz is there any medicines for yellow mucus to be dissolved and safe in pregnancy? am 20 weeks so far

If you took amoxicillin, that's a pretty broad spectrum antibiotic and should have taken care of a bacterial cause.

Ask your doctor if it could be allergies.  Use the normal saline rinse of your nose more, it doesn't have any medicine in it and is safe in pregnancy
