LEEP biopsy

by krstaylor, Jan 09, 2008 01:19PM
I recently had an abnormal pap test and went in for the biopsy. It did come back precancerous. I now have to go in for the cone or LEEP biopsy. I would like to know if this is a painful procedure? What can I do to calm my nerves or can they give me anything?

Google LEEP and don't freak out.Be prepared,be relaxed..i had it 8-07.i drove myself home. The most discomfort was second week post i had cramping and what they burned came out and down.Had to wear pads for a month. The most important thing is ur state of mind b4 u have it.My doc said i handled it like a champ..it was no big deal!pap test 12-17 showed hpv cells gone but i know that damn virus lies dormant within me!have to have paps now every 4 mos. for a year.glad i had it done!:)
