can bumps under pubic hair on pubic bone be a std?

I recently found a few red bumps under my pubic hair on my pubic bone. I have not had any genital sexual contact in the past few months.. but fear it may be a std i could have picked up in a public bathroom. The bumps, after i popped them, oozed a small amount of pus and grew to about a centemeter in diameter. There are no sores on my penis or scrodum at all, just three or four large ones under the hair on the upper pubic area. They have now been there for a week. Thanks so much for your time.
