unjustified

my fiance has been in prison for 3 years now and i have been sex free for just as long. i recently found out a couple months ago that i have genital herpes, i told him and he was completely understanding and caring, however, he'll be taking a special test to see if he's clean or not. he says that if he comes back negative that obviosly means that i went behind his back and did something. his doctor said that if we had unprotected sex then he def has it.....but what if he doesn't, what would that mean? how would i be able to justify myself?

Hmmm, first off, just because you have it doesn't mean he will contract it from you! There is no definite catching it just because you both had sex. This disease isn't that easy to catch. Get him checked out and go from there. I would suspect he has it if you never had a symptom and then all of a sudden he gets out of prison and now you are getting herpes symptoms. Not for nothing but, get him checked for HIV also. Prison's have a high rate of HIV cases and if he does have herpes, it makes HIV that much easier to contract.

How were you diagnosed as having herpes? do you know if you have hsv1 or hsv2?

I'm totally with slacker that you want your  man tested for hiv too along with herpes. Most men will not own up to what goes on in prisons because they don't want anyone to think that they are "gay" so cover your bases to protect yourself.
