Does position matter?

by jennyfer976, Jan 11, 2008 02:51PM
I know I ask a lot of questions, this is last one for now. I am wondering if position really does matter during sex or if this is a myth. I have always heard that man on top is best to avoid the "falling out" of sperm lol. Any help is appreciated! Thanks...

Yes, they do say that...I don't think it's so the sperm won't fall out, but because the sperm will usually be deposited further in by your cervix, when he's on top :-)

Lol, thanks. I think it is so crazy that not only do I now need to plan when to have sex, take my temp, and take drugs for fertility but also that I have to worry about the position in which to have sex. I never thought getting pregnant was so hard or complex, seems like millions get pregnant every day without worry and its just unbelievable that I am going thru this. It is so nice to be able to ask these questions and have sweet people who understand the frustration respond and for that I thank you!

Yeah, I know what you mean :-)  It's funny how I was so careful to take my birth control on time all those years, thinking that if I missed even one, I could get pregnant...and here I am, TRYING to get pregnant, and even with perfect timing, BBT charting, OPKs, etc. I'm still having a hard time getting that BFP!

I'm hoping 2008 will be the year for both of us!!! Best of luck!

I think 2008 will be a good year for us both! I'm just gonna keep thinkin positive for everyone on here.  I believe when the time is right it should happen and from what I'm hearing the time has been right over and over for so many people. I am just impatient i guess I want some results!
