Dysgeusia or impairment in taste may be brought about by several factors. This includes neurological disorders like multiple sclerosis. medications like antibiotics, decongestants, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, antiparkinsonian drugs, anti inflammatories and statins .Exposure to certain chemicals like insecticides, smoking, nutritional deficiencies brought about by anorexia or urinary tract disorders may cause dysgeusia.
Aside from your myasthenia gravis do you have any of the above?
Is there anything wrong with your sense of smell?
What medications are you taking?
I suggest you discuss this with your neurologist. There seems to be no well defined neurophysiologic explanation for taste alteration in some neurological disorders.
Keep us posted regarding your progress.
