Hey guys! I have known I have pcos for 14 years. the only symtoms I used to have was no cycle and cyste covered ovaries. But now I have started having exsess hair growth all over my back and have gained 40 pounds in a year and a half. I have read alot about insulain resistance and my doctor is going to do blood work on the 28th but they have done this before and it showed nothing. I don't know what to do about all of this weight gain. I now have had to go on blood pressure meds because of being so over weight. I am only 4'10 and I'm 166 pounds its just awful. anybody have any advice on what to do???????

I have pcos & IR too. According to some articles that i read, there're some women who has pcos without having the insulin resistant. But, they have risk of get insulin resistant later on which makes pcos worse. Condition of pcos & causes of it vary person to person. Good thing is ask doctor to do all the required checkups & get treatments. Healthy diet, excise, manage the idle weight, regular checkups (eg. blood sugar, blood pressure, ovaries ect), stress relief excises also help to control the condition. non growing  ovarian cysts are small ( about 1-2 cm)  & non cancerous. Regular ovarian checkups will help to identify cancerous cysts in the primary stage.
