neck twitching

My 13 year old boy had developed a neck twitch. He has ADHD and I had him on 5mg of Adderall for approx 6 1/2 years. He did not have the twitch when he was on the medication but when I took him off the medication he started twitching his nose. He than pulled a muscle in is neck and had been twitching his neck for appox 6-8 months now. I do notice that when is excited and has too much caffeine the condition worsens. I do have an appointment with a neurologist but I am concerned that this is the start of something more serious. Have you any had any incidences like this before. Do you think this is something he will grow out of after puberty?

whoa, this is crazy! i have the same thing! in fact, this is the only negative i have to report about recently starting to take add XR. i concentrate so much better, the medicine has helped curb the flood of negative thoughts that always came rushing into my head, and it's made me more motivated. The only bad thing is that i have this thing now where i keep cracking my neck! if you find anything out about this, Mia, please let me know!

I' am on Aderall XR 20 mg and I have the twitching on the neck and body, but it's mostly my neck. And it makes me fusterated because I don't know if people notice it. Is it because of the medication, because I never had it before i started taking the medication, plus I' am on other medication too..
