Two consequtive case of blighted ovum

by indrasis123, Jan 15, 2008 08:54AM
My wife is 31 and had undergone two consequtive missed abortions. Both the time there were no embrayo but sac. I think it's a case of BLIGHTED OVUM. All tests including TORCH,hormone levels were done but no significant disorder was found(Only cytomegallo IgG positive). Doctor has recommended Rovamycine forte,Ecoflora and Orgamed(10mg) beside chromosomal Karyotyping. She has irregular period problems.
She is upset and suffering from depression after 2nd missed abortion. Would anybody help me the way I should treat het from now on?

Hello,

An evaluation for recurrent pregnancy loss includes a karyotype (assessment of paternal chromosomes), evaluation of normal anatomy, a limited immunology work up (assessing for anti-phospholipid antibodies), thyroid eval, checking ovarian reserve and a consideration of a thrombophilia (clotting) work up.

You should discuss these matters with your wife's ob/gyn before planning a future pregnancy.

Best regards.
