the root of my stomach allergy?

by bananas300, Jan 16, 2008 09:12AM
I am trying to get the root of my 20 years of stomach problems.  I have recently begun to identify which foods trigger it (and have noticed that my reaction is getting worse and worse).  Last night I tried soy milk for the first time and had a horrendous stomach attack consisting of pain/cramping that starts under my breasts and extends all the way down into my lower abdomen.  It feels like there is something stuck inside me (air/gas).  I can barely move and I try and massage my stomach to help move it around but it takes a long time.  These are the other things I am definitely allergic to:

Avocado
Seaweed (sushi paper)
soy milk

I am trying to figure out what these items have in common and hopefully identify what the ROOT allergen is.

any suggestions?

Hi,

It could be that you are allergic to the above mentioned foods - all of them and not to any one common constituent.

You could talk to your doctor about this and ask him/her to refer you to an allergy specialist for food allergen testing.

Do let us know about the progress in your case.

Try to avoid these food substances till you consult your doctor.

Keep us posted.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
