LS?

by loulou86, Jan 16, 2008 05:59PM
Dear Dr,

I recently went to a G.U.M. clinic to be tested for and S.T.D. after having itching and soreness around my vaginal and anal area. After an examination by the doctor, she advised me that I had small "blister" like spots and said that it looked like I could have HPV. She then went on to take fluid from one of these blisters to get it tested. Although I showed symtoms of HPV my glands in that area were not swole. On getting my tests results, everything came back NEGATIVE.
I went back to get my results and the other doctor was confused by the results. She then did another examination - the blisters were healing but she said my glands were swole. Even the Health Advisor was confused. If my glands were swole, would they not be swole in the more inflammed stage if it were HPV?

I decided to "google" what could be misdiagnosed as HPV and the condition LS came to my attention. I have experienced these symtoms and feel like I would like to get a biopsy done to be sure. If anything, do you not think if there were any detection of HPV the test would have came back unclear rather than completely negative?
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance

Loulou
