Health insurance

by LUSMC, Jan 20, 2008 12:15PM
I am fixing to get discharged from the military(honorable). I am going to go to college. I have been diagnosed with HSV 2, and from my understanding the meds for this can get kind of expensive. What can be done on my side for insurance that will cover these expenses and also any other medical needs I may come across in the near future(emergency coverages)

Respectfully

Dear LUSMC,

Depending on where you decide to go to school, you may be able to get a student (group) health plan which may offer coverage on meds. If for some reason your school doesn't offer health insurance or the health insurance they offer doesn't cover meds, there are organizations that offer assistance programs for medications. To learn more about these programs visit www.needymeds.com.
