Pregnant with twins

by Brown Eyed Gurl, Jan 22, 2008 08:37AM
I'm 9 weeks 3 days pregnant with twins and I was pregnant with triplets.....lost baby #3 last Friday....didn't have really any real bleeding just more like spotting for only 1 day.....the other 2 babies seem to be ok but I'm just wondering what are my chances of carrying the other babies to delivery and them being healthy.....should I have bled more?  I had 2 previous MC's and I bled a lot with both of them......so will my other 2 babies be ok?

Hello,

You are carrying twins so you are at increased risk of preterm delivery, and depending upon whether they share a placenta or not, growth discrepancy between the two.
All you can do is take care of yourself, have consistent prenatal care and much of the rest is beyond anyone's control.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

For a moment I thought you were my coworker!  She's going through the exact same thing right now, but she's only had one mc and that was a few years ago.  I'm sorry you have to go through this.  Just remember that prayer and positive thought goes a long way!  Best Wishes and you'll be in my prayers!
