loss of appetite,fullness

by franners, Jan 22, 2008 06:51PM
I have known CAD. In Feb of 2007 I had my LAD restented-initially I had a Cypher stent for 70% of the distal LAD in 2004,in Feb because of my mostly digestive sx I had another cath which showed a 90% occlusion of my proximal LAd and severe instent restenosis, hence the Taxsus stent. In Aug of 2007 recathed because during the summer I had developed CHF- cath showed 40% occlusion of the distal 2/3 of the stent . Now I am having loss of appetite, feelings of fullness after minimal meals,5 # weight loss, and heart pounding. My cardiologist tells me he is not concerned about the 40%  occlusion in 6 months and doesn't feel my symptoms are cardiac in origin. I am on Plavix, asa, coreg, lasix,k,coreg lisinopril, zocor and k supplements. Has anybody else had sx like this and if your stent has occluded partially what is the likelihood my stent will go on to occlude again ?If i don't eat I feel better, eating really makes me feel bad. Recently he had put me on Reglan for but so far it hasn't made a difference.
Thanks

To: annette Quick,Douglas Bogart, Bone specialist,(Osteoporose
My mom is 81, has had  a pace maker for at least 5 years,, has had brast cancer sucessfully treated several years ago She has had osteoporose for many years. She was 5foot 4 inches, and about 120 pounds . Now in the last3 years she logically has shrunken from old age,81 and Osteoporose,to less than 5 feet,  wears size 34 petite Short. She can't eat much at all, just tiny portions and takes a  daily drink for weight gain . She lives in San diego and I live in Austria as I have for 30 years of my adult life  working as a flute teacher. I see her once a year, talk to her 3-4- times a week, but can't see her regularly. I would appreciate any professional detailed but concise info for a layman  based on my description. Is the end near? . Thank you very much!
