pregnancy test after HCG

by babyprayers, Jun 11, 2007 12:00AM
Hi I had my 5th IUI with HCG trigger shot, each time the HCG was out of my system with in 7 days so now being 9 days past I tested and the HPT was positive. feeling cautious i opted to test again this am to see if it was trigger shot, and sure enough test was negative, so now, I know for sure the HCG is out of my system, my question is all day yesterday I had bad lower abd cramps, and most in to the night, this am not so bad.. I know you cant really feel implantation but.. I have had CM which I never have before AF. not EW but more thin watery is this a sign of pregnancy? or is it impending AF i know you cannot answer for sure But what is your opinion on earliest pregnancy signs

Earliest pregnancy signs actually happen a couple of weeks after your pregnancy test first turns positive. Fatigue, running to the bathroom frequently, full slightly sore breasts. I know that the wait for the pregnancy test after HCG injections is almost impossible to stand, but try not to test too early to avoid the disappointment you must feel when things go from positive to negative.

I am wondering about whether you have discussed long term alternate treatment plans with your provider. In general, if a treatment has not worked after three-four tries, it is probably time to consider another treatment. Are you using clomid with the inseminations? Fertility injection medications? Have you had fertility hormone testing, a hysterosalpingogram, and a sperm count? Is IVF a consideration if necessary? Have your five IUI cycles been with or without fertility meds? What is the cause of your infertility, if known?
