Ovulation, period and pregnancy

I am 26 years old, i've been trying to get pregnant for the past 4 months.my period was fairly regular (30 days) before my husband and I started trying. first month we tryed my period cyce lasted 45 days! i think it was an anovulatory cycle. recently i've decided to use the ovulation kit, i started trying since day 10 of my cycle till day 20, no LH Surge. i'm feeling stressed out and dont know what to do, i really want to get pregnant, we feel it's the right time. could you please tell me what could be wrong? why is everything messed up all of a sudden and why is it taking me that long?

This may be stress related. With a past history of regular periods, my guess is that you will get back on track on your own as quickly as your periods became irregular, and that nothing at all is wrong. I would give things another couple of months to see if you get back on track on your own; if your periods are still irregular, you should see your ObGyn or an infertility specialist. By the way, have you had a weight change recently? Do you exercise extensively? Are you under or overweight? Any of these can be related to menstrual irregularities.

4 months is not long at all.  Doctors arent even concerned until you've been trying for 1 year.  You'll just have to keep trying every month..maybe start charting.  But PLEASE dont get frustrated yet...4 months is way too early to be sad about this!!!!
Good luck.

Thank you so much for your help and for responding so quickly,
Actually I moved away from home a year ago and settled in the gulf area for work. As a consequence I’ve gradually gained 4 kilos over the past 12 months (nothing to do here but eat for entertainment), and I don't exercise much (it's 50 degrees outside!, and frankly closed gyms don’t' inspire me at all). Having said that, I didn't witness any drastic weight gain or loss.
Thanks again for your care...
