Basal Temps...Did I ovulate?

by Lemenna, Aug 16, 2007 12:00AM
I will be 27 this friday and am a mother of two from a previous marriage.  Newly remarried and lost a 9 week pregnancy and had D&C on July 3rd, 2007.  Received new period on August 1st and this is how my periods have been (below). Doctor said we could resume trying.  I am just wondering if it appears that I actually ovulated (I will be as descriptive as possible).  It just isn't as big as a jump as it was before I had all the complications with the last pregnancy.
8/1=? (fist day of cycle)
8/2=96.9
8/3=97.3 (had intercourse)
8/4=97.1 (had intercourse)(still on period but much lighter)
8/5=97.3 (had intercourse)(started using urine test for ovul. -)
8/6=97.2 (had intercourse) (urine test neg)
8/7=97.3  (had intercourse) (urine test neg)
8/8=97.3 (urine test negative)(cm=lotiony)
8/9=97.3 (had intercourse) (urine test neg)(cm=lotiony)
8/10=97.1 (had intercourse) (urine test neg)(cm=lotiony)
8/11=96.8 (urine test neg) (cm=wet)
8/12=97.0 (had intercourse) (urine test nearly positive) (cm=egg)
8/13=97.3 (had intercourse) (urine test nearly positive) (cm=egg)
8/14=97.3 (had intercourse) (urine test very positive) (cm=wet)
8/15=97.5 (had intercourse) (urine test very positive) (cm=wet but getting drier)
8/16=97.5

I can see a jump, but not a big one.  Please any info would help, as making love is starting to become harder.  Thanks very much!

I believe the urine test. There are too many variables in temperature charting. Sorry about the miscarriage.

How long have you been trying to get pregnant for? If it only took a few months to get pregnant, I would recommend stopping the temp charting and urine testing completely. After all, our parents did not require all of these aids to get pregnant for us. If you and your partner are having relations every 2-3 days between days 12-18, this should be more than adequate to conceive.

If you MUST do something, I would suggest urine ovulation testing and put the thermometer away. The day your urine turns positive, and the day after, have intercourse to conceive. The rest of the month...do what you want as the mood strikes you and hopefully making love will be less of a chore.

Good luck!
