Results of Integrated Screen

Hi Dr. Plosker,

If the results of an integrated screen came back within normal limits, does that eliminate the possibility of Trisomy 18 / 21 & Spina Bifida?  Can the results come back normal but still have an issue?

Thanks,
Margie R.

Hi Margie - nothing totally eliminates the possibility of trisomy 18, 21, or spina bifida, but the chances with a normal integrated screen are very very low. Glad to hear the integrated screen is normal!
