No period and low fertility

Before continuting I am going to say that this e-mail is very specific and graphic (though in a medical sense).  I am a 30 year old man in a committed relationship with my wife.  Here is my background.  After undergoing chemotherapy and radiation when I was 14-15 years old, I discovered just last year that I have a sperm count of a little over 1,000,000 and the motility is low (do not know the exact amount).  I had sex with my wife this past August (2nd week thereabouts) using a spermicidal condom.  The condom broke either during intercourse or afterwards (not sure).  This took place about Day 9 or Day 10 of her cycle (her average has ranged from 35 days to as long as 46 days).  Since that time, she has had a urinary tract infection and a cold.  What is the likelihood that I impregnated her given my sperm count and her factors?  I am extremely concerned about this.

Unlikely if her periods are 35-46 days, and your count. But not impossible. There was a study from Belgium a few years ago showing that 13% of couples who had undergone infertility therapy but failed to get pregnant with really low sperm counts eventually got pregnant on their own, so as long as you have any sperm and she is ovulating, it is possible. Is she late for her period? Has she had a pregnancy test?

She is not late as of yet (if you are going on the 36-46 day clock).  I should mention that there have been times when her period has been 28 days.  There is another question I have based on other information I received.  First off, I was told that the day after her period ends, you need to wait an additional 12-14 days for ovulation to begin (on average).  We had sex 9-10 days after her period began (it lasted 6 days).  So it is day 9 or 10 in terms of the whole cycle but only about day 3 or 4 since her period ended.  Is it true that on average, ovulation takes place about 12-14 days after the last day of the period?  If not, then when does ovulation begin?  She has not had a pregnancy test as she believes she will not get pregnant and she is not past the 46 day mark.

ovulation occurs 12-14 days from the beginning of the period not the end(of a 28 day cycle), so there is a possibility that she could be pregnant if her cycle is 28 days but she would ovulate later if her cycle is longer, fingers crossed & good luck!
As a rule ovulation occurs 14 days before the onset of a period.
