4th IUI-1st after M/C

I am 32yrs old and have been TTC for almost 3yrs. I've been seeing a fertility doctor for the past year. I have problems ovulating and developing mature follicles. Did 3 cycles of Clomid, had good results but did not get pregnant. Did 1 cycle of Follistim and was very sensitive to it, developed too many follicles and had to take next 2 months off to clear up. Then did 2 more cycles of Follistim and on 2nd cylcle, was combined with small dose of HCG and had IUI and got pregnant. I  had a complete natural M/C at 7 weeks, had heard heartbeat at 6 weeks and everything was ok until then. Took 3 months off from treatments and now started again. I had 2 mature follicles this cycle and had IUI. I am now 8 DPO and had the second booster HCG shot yesterday after ultrasound confirmed that the 2 mature follicles ovulated. I have breast tenderness, fuller breasts and had a little brown spotting yesterday.  I want to know if these could be pregnancy symptoms or if they are side effects of the Follistim/HCG? Also my doctor said that it is a very good sign that I got pregnant before even though I miscarried and that sometimes this "resets" the body and that my body will remember what it did to achieve a pregnany thereby making it more likely to get pregnant in the future. Not sure about this?

Dear Zdon-

It is probably too early to attribute your breast tenderness, fuller breasts, and spotting to pregnancy. Although we cannot be sure, it is more likely that these symptoms are due to estrogen and progesterone being released by your ovaries in response to your fertility medicines. Hopefully the history of a prior pregnancy, even though it resulted in a miscarriage, will bode well for the future. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict or guarantee a pregnancy with infertility treatment. I am encouraged by your good response in the past, your young age, and the prior pregnancy. Hope things work out!
