Clomid...when should I start

First off, let me start by saying that my periods are very light. Usually only one day where I flow heavy enough to wear a tampon.
My dr. prescribed me Clomid day 3-7, 100mgs. I was on it before for 3 months, but went off due to other reasons. My cycles are very long and average approx 37 - 42 days. Dr is hoping that Clomid will make cycle shorter.
I have heard that day 1 of your period is actually the first day of heavy flow, and not the days of light spotting. So, in my case, when I don't really have a heavy flow, what is considered my day 1? I need to know, so that I can start taking Clomid on day 3.

Pick the day that is heavy enough to wear a tampon. Clomid can be taken day 3-7, 4-8, or 5-9. Therefore, even if the heaviest day is day 2 or 3 rather than day 1, you are not missing the boat since there is a bit of wiggle room.
Regarding the use of clomid, if clomid is going to work, it is most likely to do so withing the first three months of trying. If you are not pregnant after 1 or 2 more tries max, I would recommend seeing an infertility specialist.
Being Canadian myself (although now in sunny Florida) from Kenora ON, I know about waiting times in Canada. Not sure how long the wait is to see the infertility group in Saskatoon, but you might want to look into that and if the wait is long make an appointment sooner rather than later.

Good morning, i just wanted to say i have kids already and want another one and been trying for some years now, i went to infertility and they told me i can conceive i also hade sergury done and one of my tubes are damage i only have one and i wanted to no when do i ovulate.
