Can not take it any more.

My 13 year old stepson has ADHD. My husband and I have different opinions on how to deal with it, one of the problems is when my son has to clean his room. When its time to clean his room he will take over a week just to get it done. He will promise if he gets to play with his friends then he will take care of it later and that never happens, my husband will just sit back and claim that this behavior has not changed for years and it will never change. When it comes time for homework that is another battle. He will lie and try to get out out of doing his homework, and his grades show it. I also have 2 daughters and I can see how some of this behavior is showing in my 7 year old. My husband and I fight all the time over this he will claim other mothers clean their kids room for them so that's his answer to that problem or I shouldn't get mad over it or his younger sisters don't follow in there older brothers steps. I don't know how much more I can take I've been living like this for 9 years and can't take it if things don't change.

Is your stepson being treated for his ADHD?  I would highly recommend a very clear list of responsibilities, rewards for when he does what he should, and consequences for when he doesn't.  He's old enough to be able to do the things you're asking of it....now he needs to be held accountible for when he doesn't do them.
