Offpoint: Please help!

by PinkyWinky, Jan 23, 2008 11:27PM
I'm an 81 year old woman. I was in the hospital in '06 for a broken hip. While there I contracted a severe yeast infection.
After I got home, my doctor prescribed a topical compound (I don't recall the name, but am attempting to get that information.)
I used it every day, twice a day for about 10 days and it cleared up the infection.
But it had a side effect that I live with to this day, and it's VERY uncomfortable and itchy, and my doctor refuses to even look at it, much less suggest any treatment.
The side effect is that I now have dense, wiry hair INSIDE my labia. My clitoris is now COVERED with hair (it never was before...I'm light skinned redhead) This hair is even growing up into the vaginal canal and is covering the entire vestibule.

At my age, I was happy to no longer be bothered with much hair down there, and now I am suffering with this new malady.

PLEASE! Help me! I feel powerless! Please tell me there is some way to reverse the side effects of this medication (salve.)

I don't know if that can be reversed or not, but I do know that if your doctor won't even look at it, you need to find a different doctor.
