suppose to be 10 weeks but only showing as 6

I am predicted 10 weeks pregnant. The other day I had a very light spotting on my toilet tissue which concerned me, so I went for an emergency scan. It has made me very upset as the scan revealed the fetus only looks six weeks old instead of ten. the nurse explained there are two things this could mean, 1. the dates of my last period are wrong or the baby is small OR 2. the baby grew to six weeks and decided to stop and the pregnancy is over! I have to wait ten days for another scan to find out what is wrong. Has this happened to anyone else? does anyone have any advice?

hey hun...dont worry to much..stress is no good for you or the baby!! That is one thing you know for sure! I was ten weeks last year or i thought i was...the baby was only showing six weeks also! I had alot of bleeding tho..almost like a period so i knew i was miscarrying! I did but i wouldnt worry about a little spot...you may have your dates mixed up! that happens in a lot of women with my first i thought i was 17 and i was really only 14! That pregnancy ended great and now i have a beautiful lilttle girl! Try to not worry about it tho! I kno its going to be hard but you can do it! Good luck hun!

Just wondering how it turned out for you? I showed up as 5w5d instead of 7w2d at a scan after a big bleed, and i haven't miscarried. My hormones are increasing, but I am sure about my dates. I was paying close attention because I planned the baby for after my wedding, and I ovulated on my wedding day. (I can feel when I ovulate as it hurts) I am due for another scan on Monday the 17th March, and am by my dates, 8w1d today. It is driving me crazy because I know without doubt that the first day of my last period was definitely 17th Jan. They said something may be wrong with the baby...
