I will sleep and the pain will come and i will wake up in pain and cant sleep..I've done ab exercises at the gym prior when all this happened and the next day i was feeling horrible. It felt like heavy knots in my abs. i"ve takin midol, alka selizer and a tea spoon of baking soda to relieve the pain b/c i think its acid that im trying to digest. Hi Sandy,
How are you feeling?
The symptom of pain underneath your ribs suggests that it is an epigastric pain. Epigastric tenderness is usually related to stomach and its pathology. I think you are right in thinking that you have gastritis.
Gastritis could be due any reasons like exercises, stress, anxiety and any medications can cause similar problems.
I think you should be taking anta-acids for relief.
Alternatively, you can restrict your diet to bland diet. You can do less abdominal exercises. You can time your meals.
You would see the difference within next week.
If the symptoms still persist you can consult a physician for your symptom evaluation and discuss regarding further management.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
