3cm endometrium "mass"

by mandyclar, Jan 25, 2008 12:02PM
I had a u/s on 21st and on 24th was called in. The Doctor (walk in clinic) said there was a "mass". I beleive he said something like it was in the edmoetrium. The "mass" is 3cm.
For 3 months ive experienced a sickly feeling, light headed,   and EXTREME constipation. When I have to have a BM I have to push with my fingers on the space between vagina and anus as I can feel the bulge of (poop) but it will not come out unless I push down hard.(everytime i go)
The doctor schedule me for another u/s on monday the 28th.

1. Can doctor or u/s tech tell the difference between fibroid, cyst or mass thats cancerous?
2. Can the "mass" have something to do with the BM not coming out?
3. Why are they doing another u/s?
I kept asking questions but he kept saying wait till the next u/s and he would explain.
THANK YOU so much Doctor for your time and advise. I'd rather know what im dealing good or bad.
Sincerley mandyclar. Thanks again for your time.

Hello,

I'm not sure why your doctor wanted another ultrasound.

The mass in your uterus is probably not related to your constipation, but I'd want to have more information and to examine you to make a more definitive statement on this.

Ultrasound will not determine if this mass is cancer.  The way to make this determination is by having an endometrial biopsy performed.

I wish you well,

Dr. Downing

Im sorry, I just wanted to add....
The doctor said to me to have u/s when I wasn't bleeding BUT I hadn't been bleeding for 2 weeks when I had the u/s. Why would he say that? Could you find bleeding in there when your not vaginally bleeding??
Thank You So Much...
