connection between thryoid & dental implants

I was diagnosed whith Hypothryroidism to Hasimoto's many years ago. (as well as a whole host of other medical problems.) I have been on Synthroid for many years.
My question.... I am going to have dental implants done & was told that hypothryoidism could cause a problem with the bone healing around them. Has anyone every had this problem & if so, any suggestions on how to proceed.
