Hi everybody.  I have been lurking and not posting much.  I'm    8-/12 mon. post tx now.  The itching is better, but not gone.  I've figured out if I avoid the triggers, sun,heat,sweating,etc., then, it doesn't flair up as much.  It's so nice out down here though and it is annoying me.  Tomorrow, I might just say, 'oh to heck with it' and deal with the after effects.  Tomorrow is this big seafood festival that draws thousands of people once a year when they have it.  I've always wanted to go, and haven't ever been.  My sister and her husband are going and asked me to go and I'm seriously thinking about going.  I'll probably wear a light weight hoody to keep the direct sun off of my arms and a pair of jeans to protect my legs.  Anyhow, for the better part of the last 10 years, I've been on all these different treatments and haven't felt up to even trying anything like this.  There are is also outdoor music and a crafts fair.  I know that I'll probably also, be dragging/lagging energy wise, too, when I'm done, since that's not really improved a whole lot. So, I'll recover from both of the itching and dragging at the same time tomorrow night/Sun. (just like when I was on tx, so it won't be a whole lot different), except I'll have some fun thrown in the mix!  Well, I hope everybody's doing alright.

Man I LOVE seafood, it sounds like a great day. What a MUCH better reason to have "sides" than taking the nasty drugs!  You never know - if you take it "easy" and protect yourself from the sun - you might find it not so bad.

I went to it and I had a good time, but I'm really tired.  I didn't eat any raw seafood, but I did eat some fried shrimp.  It was really good.  I had some 'sweet hush puppies, too' and a deviled crab.  Everything was cooked, so I think I'm going to be alright as far as that goes.  Probably eat a lot of 'fat' but I'll deal with that, it was nice to hear the bands play, get the great weather, see the crafts, etc.  I was good, I didn't drink any alcohol (i.e. beer).  I kept my skin adequately covered to avoid getting a problem with the sun.

I have to go and put up my feet...
