Advice or Comments Please...

My husband and I have been TTC#1. I finally broke down and bought the Clearblue easy fertility monitor. This was our first month using it. It told me when I was high fertility (which we ttc on those days) but the monitor never reached peak fertility! Now I am six days late no period. I took a HPT on the day I was due to start (First Response - Early Response) and it was negative. I have a OBGYN appointment on Friday and do not plan to test agian, I will let them test. My mother said with her first pregnancy, she had negative HPT and Blood tests for 3 weeks into her pregancy until it showed up. I am very confused, I hope I am. Has anyone ever had this before....no period, negative HPT but still pregnant? I don't feel any symptoms but I don't understand why I haven't had a period!! Also anyone ever use the Clearblue Monitor and get pregnant without the PEAK? It says it could be because of a mistake while testing, I don't know. Just confused and very frustrated. Comments please!

I read your comment earlier but didnt know what to say.  I have heard of some cases where AF was late and a positive didn't register on their HPT but they were preggo.  I think that those odds are very slim though.  The only advice I can offer you is that either you ovulated late or you didn't at all.  Aren't you suppose to get a peak fertility sign as well.  Another instance could be that your ovulation was delayed.  Did you do anything during that time that might have delayed ovulation?  Don't forget that ovulation can only be delayed due to stress not AF.  In the instance of you ovulated later than you knew you may just be testing too early.  The early response gives you 5 days before your missed period.  so if you ovulated later then your period might not be late at all just yet and they say the odds of getting a positive are much better if you wait till the day of AF or the day after.  Do you temp?  I do OPK's and temp because although I get a definitive line I want to make sure that I did indeed ovulate.  I wouldn't test and just wait.  Might as well make the doctor's use theirs and save yours just in case.  Hope that you are preggo though.

I also have the ClearBlue Fertility Monitor.  The first month I used it I got 7 days of Low reading, 12 days of High followed by one additional day of Low.  I never got a Peak reading.  However, I was also doing regular OPK sticks using the same First Morning Urine, and I got a + LH surge on day 16.  I called the company, and they gave me some line about the machine getting to know my body.  I can understand that to some degree, but and LH surge is an LH surge.  If the $35 sticks can detect it, the $150 monitor should also detect it.  I used it for 2 additional months, and each month was the same. Never showed peak despite the OPKs clearly detecting an LH surge.  I wrote a letter to the company, and I am sending it back for a refund.  That may just be my monitor though, because I know two people who claim it worked perfectly for them.

In any event, the machines are not always perfect.  You could definately be preggo despite not seeing a Peak.  I obviously Peaked even thoughthe monitor didn't detect it

Went to the doctor today and the blood test says I AM PREGNANT!! I took 2 HPT tests today and they both showed up negative. Wierd but possible!! :)  I am so excited!
