High Blood Sugar

by Murray2, Jul 21, 2006 12:00AM
I'm not sure if this question will be posted in the right forum or not, so please forgive me if I have posted something incorrectly.  My question is this:  how long should one wait to seek medical advice with blood sugar readings as high as 598?  Thanks in advance.

Murray2,

We are volunteers here, not physicians.

I would seek medical advice ... NOW!  Finish reading this post and call your doctor or nearest urgent care facility.  Have someone else drive you.

A blood sugar of 598 is dangerously high and, if coupled with keto-acidosis, it's even more dangerous.

Check back when you're stable, but get to urgent care now.
