jaw pain

I wasn't quite sure where to post my question. I have been told I don't have TMJ by my doctor and dentist. I have lower jaw pain, pretty severe pain at times. I have gone to my primary doctor, dentist and no one seems to know what is causing this. They tested me and all they could say was it's not TMJ. I do have myofacial spasms in past I have felt pain with them just twitching and numbness. The pain comes on at any time I could be doing nothing and it happens. I take anti inflamitory medications and warm compresses but nothing seems to ease the pain. Has anyone had this? What worked for you? Please help!

I think you should consult a neurologist or an oral pathologist. The last doctor can be located at a teaching hospital or a dental school.
