swollen cheeks

by rossmiller, Apr 08, 2007 12:00AM
my daughter fell and grazed her mouth cutting the inside of her top lip with her tooth!

there did not apear to be any damage to her teeth so did not seek dental check.

now, 48 hrs on her cheeks are swelling and are very red.  they are hot to the touch and i am worried that her teeth may have been damaged.

could her fall actualy of done some damage?

and should i have her teeth checked?

There is nothing wrong with getting an x-ray to check if there was a root fracture. It would be a good idea to see if she has any infection from the fall.

she should be checked by her MD or dentist for possible infection.
