Split skin on finger joints

Hello, my 21 year old daughter's fingers of both hands on the palm side, have a split in almost everyone of her fingers joints, where the fingers bend. These joints crack open and bleed whenever she fully opens her hand. They never heal. Further her little finger especially, is blue, sometimes turning black and often swells up. We are health conscious and do not want to use any cortisone product. Please help.

With the kind of symptoms you describe, it would be advisable to consult your doctor or skin specialist about your daughter's symptoms.
Is her blood sugar in the normal range? Does she have any other complaints of fever, etc?
It would not be possible to comment on the lesions without a clinical examination.
Post us about what the doctor advises.
