white blister on top lip

im 14 and i have a white blister on my top lip and i know this isnt std or herpies etc my mum says its the cold but it wont go away what is it?

Typically this is a cold sore and takes some time to go away.. .be patient

I agree with Phil. However, typically cold sores are genetic. Therefore if no one in your immediate family gets them, then you probably won't either. Cold sores do tend to go away rather slowly, and are very painful at times.

I would keep a close eye on it.

i still have it 2 months later my bro gets cold sores to but diffrent ones any advice?

Hey, I think I know what you mean.  My 3 year old daughter has a tiny white blister on her upper lip.  It just showed up about 1 1/2 months ago, and it doesn't seem to cause her any pain at all.  I guess it could be a cold sore, but this isn't a sore....it's just a tiny white blister.  I hope it goes away on it's own.  I will ask her Dr. next time I go in with the kids.  I'll let you know what I find out, and please do the same for me!
