Hello,

Pre-eclampsia has an ~30% recurrence rate.  Your ob/gyn should be monitoring you closely for its recurrence and for your cardiac condition.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

I had preeclampsia my first pregnancy, but not with my second.  Honestly, my blood pressure was TOO low the second time around.  They had to give me injections of epinephrine during my labor to bring my blood pressure back up.  If you can, invest in a blood pressure machine and take your BP daily at the same time (or even two times a day),after doing to exact same things.  Like, maybe first thing in the morning when you wake up and maybe again after a very active part of your day.  Keep all of it in a diary and take it with you to all of your doctor's visits.
