This patient support community is for discussions relating to breast cancer, biopsy, genetics, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, lumps, lumpectomy, lymph node dissection, lymphedema, mammograms, mastectomy, radiation therapy, reconstruction, and self exams.
This could be secondary to the trauma youmention - scar tissue.
The usual management plan is such cases is to surgically remove the scar tissue- there is a possibility of it coming back , but the chances are very less.
Do carry on regular breast self examinations and report any abnormal features to your doctor.
