Very Low RHR, Mild S1 Hypertension

by sasquatch989, Jan 31, 2008 03:16PM
I am an athlete and I am aware that we tend to get brady, but I also have a bp of 140+ over 80+.

I'm concerned that I might have a node issue.  Heart Probs don't run in my family, nor do metabolic disorders.  I'm 6'3"  245lb, 18% BF, VO2 max is well above 50 ml/kg/min.  I don't do long distance aerobics but maintain high VO2 max from lots of anaerobic work (think sprints, etc).

Is there any one who might have a good idea what is going on?  The last thing I want is a pacemaker but I'll do what I have to.

Also, I am 27, White, Male.  I don't get dizzy or faint and generally have avg to higher amounts of energy.  A good hard workout will get my HR up to 150-160, and then after 2-3 minutes I'm back to ~ 100 bpm.  My RHR clocks in under 50 consistently, and I'm afraid to check it first thing in the morning.

Just a thought: I've never been one to watch my Na intake.  I don't intentionally add salt to my food but i definitely don't keep track of it either.
