front teeth crowns

by abbeygirl1999, Feb 02, 2008 04:08PM
I recently had four ceramic dental crowns (no metal ) applied to my front teeth. They look very good except I am not pleased with the finish on the two main teeth. I believe the dentist polished them after she put them in and now I am seeing very minute marks on both of them including two very tiny pinhole marks-there is actually a very slight indention in these marks! I thought the crowns would have a very polished smooth look like regular teeth, but they almost remind me of the temps she put in  except these are smoother. I have to go back in a week to have my bite checked and I am definitely mentioning this to her. Am I being to "picky" about the finish? I am just not sure, but I certainly expected the finish to have a polished, pearly tooth look! I am also afraid that these very minor flaws of the crowns will pick up stain. Please advise. Thank You!

I think you have a point and this should be expressed to your dentist.

see if they can polish them further.  i assume you paid a lot of money for these crowns and you should be happy with the results.  you are not being too picky.  you deserve good service.
