I didnt bleed when I lost my virginity

by Anne2040, Feb 02, 2008 07:53PM
Hi,

I have been married for 4 yrs and I always wondered why I didnt bleed the first time I had intercourse.  I was a virgin and was really scared because of hearing how painful it is when you do lose your virginity from other people telling me.  I noticed there was no blood, but the next day I felt pain in my vagina muscles...thats about it. I never had other partners, I just got married and had sex the first time.  Could you please tell me why I didnt bleed?

Thanks

To: not bleeding

The athletic explanation might be the right one. Some hymens also slide to the side permitting the penis to enter without breaking them. However, there are many ways for the hymen to break before intercourse ( bicycle riding, tampex, etc)  so you really shouldn't worry about it at all!

Were you athletic? physically active? You could even just have had a thin hymen.

Yes I was always into school gym activities and played a lot of sports during high school.  Thanks for the response.
