I am your age and I also have PCOS and irregular periods all my life and my ovaries each have at least 30 follicles....it is horrible and it would be hard to conceive a baby but I m on the drugs to have O and then try to get pregnant...
The chances are not as high as with no problems but there are chances....
PCOS if you are not overweight and don't have diabities is not as bad....but you have to watch your diet...
I agree with Anya. Definitely see a fertility specialist. I am 32 yo and have had really bad menstrual pain to the point of vomiting and blacking out. Like Anya, I am on Diabex which is Metformin to trying and get Ovulation happening as I have been trying to fall pregnant for over 1.5 years. I have been told that Metformin works in about 50% of cases. This is my first month on the drug so don't know the results. Will have to take a blood test next week to see if it worked. If this doesn't work, my doctor says he can do some other procedure where a whole bunch of eggs are released but this may result in multiple births. Don't know much about this procedure. After this its IVF.
I'm afraid the pain hasn't become easier with age, if anything, worse but I have learnt how to deal with it. I am not overweight but was told to have a low GI diet, regular exercise and have sexual intercourse every second day.
