Having very little information about Ganglioneuroma? Scwahnomma? Nerves Tumor?

by reichan, Feb 03, 2008 10:36PM
Hi, I'm a 26 years old from Indonesia. I am diagnosed with ganglioneuroma 2 years ago. I browsed to the internet and found just few article about Ganglioneuroma.

I have gone through several hospital here in Indonesia and gone through biopsy twice, they said the tummor consist of scwahnomma. The option their given to me is surgery. However, My tumor sized 19 cm x 10 x 7.5 cm, extending from T2 to L2 and the team doctor not even sure about the chances whether I'm going to survive it, getting paralyze or not

Then, I went to Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, China last October and underwent surgery called Cryoablation surgery (more explanation from the hospital website www.orienttumor.com). The surgery is actually the process of injecting argon and helium into the tumor, to shrink it and flush it away from the body. I will have to go back there for another surgery on the Feb 12th.

However, I'm still not even feeling better after the surgery. I'm actually confused and have had very little information about the diseases. I'm having a symptom of severe back pain, shoulder pain, headache, nausea at most of the time of the day and have to deal it only with painkillers. It is bothering my activity.

I don't know what actually is ganglioneuroma, how to treat it, all I know from the doctors, it's a tumor. And from article it said that it's rarely happened (about 1 to 100,000 people). How I supposed to do with it, because it's malignant, do I just have to leave it grow there, or there any case that have been handled before.

I would be very thankful if you can reply and help me with this. I have my MRI scan result for your reference, if you like to see

Thank You. Best Regards...
