Hope

by Sukyiabayta, Feb 04, 2008 04:57AM
Hi I am 33 years old married for 3 years and no children. Since I was a teen I noticed irregular periods and was told that I have PCOs and should wait until married. I have been taking different medications (Ovamit) and other ovulation medication and finally went to an infertility treatment specialist and gave me Pregnyl and other injections to stimulate the ovaries which responded 100% but I was subject for IUI due to male infertility problems (but was not reffered to a specialist) I made the IUI 4 times and failed. I traveled abroad and was told that I have to do IVF because of the male factor (which presumably can not be treated although his sperm count is OK but there are issues with motility). He went to a specialist and gave him treatments (injections and other tabs for 3 month use) and then will have to do a check. My period is still irregular and maximum duration of absenteesm is 52-60 days.

Do I have any hope for conceving...

Thanks

Yes, you have hope..I heard that IVF help a lot and maybe not the first time but usually 2nd and 3rd time....
also, you should check out the Fertility forum, there are many people there with your problem and some of them are pregnant :)
