Kidney/Urinary Stones

Hi. My dad is a 60 year old Indian male. Vegetarian diet, does not consume alcohol, and is a diabetic. He has been over the past 10 years suffered from kidney stoneys. In the past 5 years, it has become chronic. He now has a stent inside him, but the stones do not disappear!!! He is in excrutiating pain almost always, and none of the South African Doctors seem to be able to treat him. They have not been able to even provide him with a diet. Any help on how to either reduce the incidence of stone formation????Or treat them? Or even manage the pain???
