ball tapping

by motherof5nurse, Feb 05, 2008 10:38AM
Recently in my son's school, there has been an ever growing problem of "ball-tapping" (hitting anothers scrotum to make them fall down) in the school yard.  As an RN/MSM and mom, I have been asked to do an educational program for the adolescent males on the dangers of this practice.  (One boy in the area recently had to have a testicle removed from injury).  I am having difficulty finding journal references or really any info on the long term effects this trauma can have on the male anatomy.  Can you give me some information as well as any resources?  Apart from the obvious issues of bullying and sexual harrassment,  I want to show the kids photos and tell them how this can effect them down the road...infertility/CA/ etc...Any help would be so appreciated...Thanks
