My mother did not make her doc see her and settled for an appt for the next week. She didnt make it that long, she ended up in the ER and immediate surgery, and before she was to come home the fisticula was back and had another surgery. She waited too long and there was so much damage that if it should happen again she is in trouble. Her colostomy is as far up as it can go.......she spent over a month in the hospital......so I stress do not wait!!
