There are a multitude of TMJ disorders which may have the same symptoms. The deviation can be the result of disc malposition, muscle contractures, bone abnormalities to name a few.
You should see an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who treats TMJ disorders and they should be able to determine what is causing the deviation.
