Peroid problems

My daughter has not had a regular peroid for 2 years. She has been diabetic for 15 years. She is 19.She is not sexually active. Question she has been a good while without a peroid. She started having menstral cramps about 3 weeks ago. They were very bad so I sent her to a OBGYN . They put her on the pill which I thought would help with the cramps. This was two weeks ago. She is still having bad cramps. She also is constipated. She has had high blood sugars until about a month ago and decided to try to get things under control she is doing well with this They gave her vicotin to take for the pain but this only takes the edge off. Has this happened to anyone else before?.
