Tooth Abcess question

by KevinFuhr, Feb 08, 2008 02:04AM

I have a broken tooth and just got tooth Abcess. I have a dentist appointment on Tuesday but I will have to go to ER or a walk in clinic to get antibiotics.

My question is I have got chest pains they come for five seconds and leave for 10 minutes and repeat that same routine. Could this have started because of the bacteria from the tooth abcess, or would this be a whole new problem I should get looked at?

Yes, your chest pain could very well be associated with the tooth abcess - PLEASE go to the doctor. I don't know exactly how it works but pericarditis (infection related to the heart) can result from untreated dental abcess and this could very well be the source of your chest pains.  You need to see a doctor and get treated immediately.
