I am currently taking percocets and have been on them since Sept of 07.  I hurt my back on June 4th, lower back when a shelf fell on me at work.  I tried all kinds of meds, but the percs help most.  I try to only take them at work.  When I need to get work done, I can only do while on the meds.  They don't make me feel any different mentally then tylenol would.  I don't get a high.  I am up to 10mg-650mg tablets.  I started on 5mg, which did give me a short lived high.  Anyways, when I don't take them, like in the mornings, I get a feeling in my chest, and down my left arm, and up my left side of my neck like I stuck my tongue on a 9 volt battery.  Sorry only way to explain it.  It goes into my fingertips.  I told my dr and he ran some tests, stress test, and all for my heart, everything is normal.  Of course I wasnt' feeling those symptoms at the time, cause I had taken a perc before I went, since I knew it would be painful to walk on a treadmill with my back pain.

So, has anyone else felt this when not taking the meds?  I don't get sick or anything, but never gone without for more then 6 or 7 hours.

A guy at work told me maybe when I was on the meds, that I might have pinched a nerve or something, since I can't feel the pain so much.

My back pain, I have had a MRI, nothing is wrong, they think it is just muscle, but my last MRI was back in June.
I went to PT and they told me the muscle was too tight to deal with, they couldn't get it to loosen up.

Hope someone else here is having this prob and that I am not crazy.  Thanks

Your symptoms are consistent with an angina attack but that has already been ruled out by your doctor.  It is unlikely that it is the withdrawal effect.  I think you are correct in looking for some anatomical explanation.
