vaginal bumps

i notice that i get some big vaginal bumps with sometimes it have white puss coming out of it on the outside of my vagina where the hair is. i went to the doctor she say it look like yeast infection and she gave some stuff to use but the dont work. the bumps come and they go. is this something bad what should i do. is this something that can make me sterile. or its just a little infection?
